In the early hours of June 30, 2024, a fire broke out in a one-story bungalow in Gangshan District, Kaohsiung. The homeowner, who had taken a sleeping pill, was found still asleep when firefighters broke in, as the fire burned with explosions due to the presence of many discarded gas cylinders and bottles inside the house. The intense fire caused panic among neighbors, but thankfully there were no casualties. This incident highlighted the dangers of hoarding flammable items in homes and the importance of fire safety precautions.
