These types of guns, commonly used by gangs, can be purchased in survival game shops or even night markets, providing a feeling of intimidation when shot on the streets. Despite lacking lethality in actual tests, carrying and using these guns in public can still result in criminal charges such as intimidation or violation of public order laws, with recent trends showing an increase in criminals using simulated guns to avoid being linked to actual firearm crimes.
