According to GasBuddy, gas prices are expected to hit their lowest holiday prices for the Fourth of July since 2021, with some states offering average gas prices $0.25 a gallon or more below last year. GasBuddy's head of petroleum analysis, Patrick De Haan, highlighted that some states such as Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Wyoming are seeing significant price reductions compared to last year. This drop in gas prices is attributed to factors like a normalization of the economy post-COVID and soft gasoline demand this summer, with U.S. oil production remaining high.
