General Dynamics has been awarded a $6.8 billion contract to build eight John Lewis-class fleet replenishment oilers for the U.S. Navy, expected to be completed by January 2035. Despite the significant contract, which amount to about $675 million per year, the stock's reaction has been muted due to the lower profit margins in the marine systems division compared to the company's overall financial performance.
