Assicurazioni Generali SpA is exploring a potential acquisition of New York-based MGG Investment Group, aiming to expand its private asset business. Initial discussions suggest a valuation in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and Generali hopes to finalize the deal ahead of its investor day on January 30. Despite these efforts, negotiations may not result in an agreement. Generali, with assets of €821 billion, recently acquired Conning Holdings and has seen a 33% rise in shares this year.
