George R.R. Martin promises that the upcoming HBO series "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" will have a much different tone than "Game of Thrones" and "House of the Dragon," being shorter but still set in Westeros with no character truly safe. The show will follow the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, based on Martin's Dunk-and-Egg novellas. Scheduled to premiere in June 2025, the series will be written and executive-produced by Martin and Ira Parker, with potential future adaptations of more Dunk & Egg stories.
