New Taipei City police recently raided a bar in Tamsui based on a tip-off of drug use, resulting in the arrest of a German bartender found in possession of marijuana cookies, cannabis oil, and ecstasy. Furthermore, it was discovered that he had been illegally working in Taiwan without a proper visa for over four years. The bar, frequented by both locals and foreigners, attracted attention for offering a variety of foreign beverages and dishes, with the German national serving as one of the managers. Although claiming the drugs were for personal use only, police are investigating if he was involved in selling the marijuana cookies and how he obtained them.
