Germany's robotic industry is facing tough competition from China, with falling domestic orders and pressure from Chinese suppliers expanding into Europe. The VDMA engineering association representative, Frank Konrad, highlighted that foreign orders are driving growth, as domestic orders dropped by 15% while foreign orders rose by 21%. Major players include Kuka and Siemens AG. The VDMA has revised its sales outlook, expecting 2% growth to 16.5 billion euros in 2024.
