Reported 8 months ago

German federal and regional tax revenues increased by 2.6% to 61.2 billion euros in May compared to the previous year, with growth in wage tax and flat-rate withholding tax offsetting lower revenues from sales tax. In the first five months of the year, tax revenues in Germany rose by 2.8% to 322.3 billion euros. The government is currently discussing the 2025 budget with disagreements among the political parties involved, while economic indicators are pointing towards a moderate recovery for the rest of the year.
