Global Payments announced a rise in third-quarter profit, driven by strong performance in its merchant solutions sector. The company's adjusted net revenue increased by 3% to $2.43 billion, with the merchant solutions unit seeing a 6% jump in operating income to $750 million. This growth comes amid robust consumer spending in the U.S., despite economic uncertainties. Quarterly net profit rose to $783 million, or $3.26 per share, compared to $743.5 million, or $2.92 per share, from the previous year.
