The Institute for Quality of Life based in London recently released the 'Happy City Index' report, ranking the world's 250 happiest cities based on various indicators related to residents' quality of life and happiness. Among the top 17 cities with the highest overall scores, all are in Europe, with Taiwan having 3 cities on the list: Taipei at 46th, Kaohsiung at 64th, and Taoyuan at 88th. The study categorized cities into gold, silver, and bronze tiers based on factors like population, governance, environment, economy, and transport mobility. The report also mentioned that happiness is difficult to measure solely by numbers, as many other factors influence one's happiness in different cities.
