General Motors (GM) has signed a multibillion-dollar agreement with Norway’s Vianode for the supply of synthetic anode graphite, essential for electric vehicle batteries. The deal will see Vianode construct production facilities in North America and commence deliveries by 2027, lasting until 2033. This collaboration aims to enhance battery technology and build a resilient local supply chain for critical materials outside Asia, amid increasing global competition and export restrictions.
