General Motors has been ordered by a federal appeals court to face a class action lawsuit related to faulty transmissions in several hundred thousand vehicles. The court ruled that the lawsuit, which alleges GM knowingly sold cars with transmission problems, can proceed as a group case, covering about 800,000 vehicles including various models from Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC manufactured between 2015 and 2019. Drivers report issues such as shuddering and hesitance, with GM accused of misrepresenting these defects to dealerships.
