At a recent tech event in New York City, General Motors (GM) announced its latest innovations, including 'eyes-off' autonomous driving technology integrated into its Super Cruise system, enhanced by a partnership with Google for conversational AI. Beginning with the 2028 Cadillac Escalade IQ EV, the 'eyes-off' feature aims to transform vehicle operation by allowing drivers to focus on other tasks while the car drives itself, initially on highways before expanding to urban areas. Additionally, GM plans to develop its own AI systems to offer personalized driving assistance and expand energy management capabilities through bidirectional charging in future electric vehicles.
