General Motors' self-driving division, Cruise, announced it will start supervised testing of up to five autonomous vehicles in California's Bay Area this fall. Following the deployment of mapping vehicles in Sunnyvale and Mountain View, testing will commence as the company works to collaborate with state regulators after previously halting operations due to safety concerns.
