Google and BlackRock Climate Infrastructure Investment Partnership announced a collaboration to assist in the development of 1GW (1 million watts) of solar energy assets in Taiwan, in support of Taiwan's grid transformation towards Google's carbon-free goal. Google will invest in solar energy developer Sunseap (NGP) and procure up to 300 MW of solar power through power purchase agreements (PPAs). The investment will facilitate financing for the projects and help Google meet its electricity demands in Taiwan. This collaboration highlights the shared commitment of Google and BlackRock to advancing the low-carbon economy transition.
