Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet, has announced plans to appeal sections of a US court ruling that found it liable for maintaining monopoly power in publisher ad servers and ad exchanges. U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema determined that while the DOJ did not prove anticompetitive behavior regarding Google's advertising tools and certain acquisitions, Google violated antitrust laws by dominating the publisher tools market, potentially leading to the sale of its Google Ad Manager.
