In line with the government's housing policy to increase diverse supply, the Ministry of Finance will strengthen the promotion of leasing state-owned properties. The Ministry targets to lease a total of 120 properties this year, with the second batch of 36 units set to be auctioned on the 13th. The initiative includes prioritizing city properties and expanding to empty homes or general leasing properties. With President Lai Ching-te's plan to support a million rental households over eight years, leasing and property management of public housing have become crucial. The Ministry had initiated state-owned property leasing last year, resulting in 117 properties for lease and 75 for sale, with rent amounting to approximately NT$5.819 million. Among these, 27 properties have been successfully repaired and leased out to the public, with notable properties in various regions, including 16 in the north, 7 in the central region, and 4 in the south.
