The Ministry of Economic Affairs has announced that there will be 826 openings for government-owned company positions this year, with registration closing on July 2nd. The recruitment aims to accelerate workforce renewal and improve workforce structure while passing on core technical experience. The most in-demand categories include 244 positions in Electrical, 129 in Management, and 102 in Mechanical. Despite the yearly openings, the shortage is attributed to retirees mainly from frontline repair personnel facing hazardous and demanding work conditions, creating challenges in replenishing the workforce. Positions range from entry-level to management roles with competitive salaries and opportunities for advancement within the organizations.
