Following complaints from the public regarding the new regulation of 'average nurse-patient ratio,' if hospitals lack sufficient nursing staff, they cannot open beds for patients, leading to a scarcity of beds. In response to the rising dissatisfaction, the government is planning two solutions to retain nurses by allowing them to pursue in-service training in hospitals and increasing the use of AI medical robots to share the workload. The government aims to address the shortage of nurses with incentives, allocating NT$4 billion to increase nursing allowances, aiming to achieve the target nurse-patient ratio in four years.
