The parliamentary reform bill revision review is being voted on today, with Prime Minister Cho Jung-tai having previously stated that if the review results are not as expected, the government plans to propose a constitutional interpretation after the law comes into effect. According to precedent, the government can propose a constitutional interpretation by passing it in the Executive Yuan or handling it through departmental correspondence. The Executive Yuan attended the Legislative Yuan on the 19th and 20th for a full committee meeting to review the parliamentary reform bill revision review, with a vote on the review expected this morning. Cho Jung-tai had mentioned seeking legal scholars' opinions and internal discussions post the law coming into effect if the review results are unsatisfactory. Past cases of constitutional interpretations proposed by the government cover various topics, from land transfer to the authority of the Legislative Yuan and controversies regarding the implementation of the constitution in different situations.
