The Ministry of Economic Affairs' Geological Survey and Mines Bureau stated that they have completed the regional-scale underground geological survey in the Penghu vicinity, as well as the nearshore areas of Hsinchu and Miaoli for offshore wind farm zones. By identifying geological impact factors, wind power developers can effectively shorten the environmental evaluation process, accelerate turbine construction, and increase green energy output. The survey revealed potential geological factors such as shallow faults, sand waves migration, fluid chimneys, hard rock layers, and anticlinal structures, emphasizing the importance of careful planning to avoid construction risks in these areas.
