As summer vacation begins, Chihkeshuan Water Park in Hualien officially opened its water play area on July 6th. The water facilities have been fully renovated, with the addition of an interactive foam machine this year. It is estimated that 4,000 visitors, mainly locals, will attend on the opening day, in hopes of attracting more tourists to Hualien. With large-scale activities planned, the county aims to revive tourism and boost visitor confidence in Hualien, after facing challenges of low accommodation rates during this summer holiday season.
