In Greece, a tragic accident occurred when a 13-year-old girl playing in the sea with her parents was struck by lightning during an afternoon thunderstorm. The forensic examiner believes the cause of this accident may have been a small metal bead the size of a button on the girl's swimsuit. The incident took place in the Faros beach of the Poseidi resort in Halkidiki, where the girl was fatally hit by lightning while her parents were seeking shelter from the storm. The girl's father mentioned that if his wife had been holding their daughter's hand at the time, he might have lost both of them. The girl, identified as Dorothea, did not survive the lightning strike, and her funeral was held on July 2nd.
