On June 17, 2024, Green Party legislator Chen Boyang, Policy Committee Executive Director Wang Yichuan, and independent Taoyuan City Councilor Yu Beichen have been embroiled in controversies, earning them the nickname 'new three treasures'. Taoyuan City Councilor Ling Tuo believes that the DPP's 'rescue new three treasures soldiers' act is imminent, and fears that the Green camp may reenact Lin Zhijian's tragic case, leading to a major setback in 2026. Ling Tuo pointed out that the constant media spotlight on Yu Beichen, Wang Yichuan, and Chen Boyang is detrimental to the DPP. This situation has been likened to the second term of Chen Shui-bian's presidency, where DPP legislators Lin Zhongmo, Cai Qifang, and Hou Shuisheng faced similar criticism.
