KMT lawmaker Ko Chien-ming announced that the DPP caucus has prepared a petition for constitutional interpretation with 6 reasons after the legislation to revise parliamentary powers was not passed due to insufficient votes. While the KMT planned to send lawmakers Weng Hsiao-ling and Wu Tsung-hsien for verbal debates at the Constitutional Court, the DPP decided not to send any caucus members. Ko Chien-ming urged KMT Chair Chu Li-lun and People First Party Chair Ko Wen-je to speak out instead of opposing the judiciary and manipulating Taiwan under the influence of China. The DPP believes in and respects the judiciary as the ultimate defense mechanism and is prepared to proceed with the constitutional interpretation petition.
