During a legislative session, Democratic Progressive Party legislator Li Baiyi expressed support for reviewing the National Assembly's authority law amendment bill, revealing that the definition of clauses in the Kuomintang and People First Party versions were vague and aimed to paralyze the country's governance structure, turning it into a 'prosecutor' under expanded powers. Premier Zhuo Rongtai responded by emphasizing the importance of not letting the nation's future rely on the happiness of certain individuals, stating that each citizen, military, corporate group, and relevant individuals in society are valued. The legislative session will continue to evaluate the bill and vote on it on the 21st. Defense Minister Gu Li Xiong also expressed concerns about national security implications if the bill were to allow private companies to access confidential information. Li Baiyi stressed the need to reject the bill and dismantle the National Assembly's empowerment legislation to protect national security and defense policies from being compromised.
