The Control Yuan announced it will file for constitutional interpretation and suspend sanctions, becoming the fourth organization after the Executive Yuan, Legislative Yuan, and party caucuses to seek constitutional interpretation. While the Kuomintang (KMT) continues to criticize and warn that the budget session will be blocked, they only passed two bills jointly with the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) despite KMT Chairman Fu Hau-chi claiming there were five bills. Fu was also criticized for being completely out of touch with the situation. The exchange between KMT lawmakers, DPP lawmakers, and government officials during the legislative session was marked by disputes, with Fu being called out for not being clear on which laws the KMT wanted to amend. The Presidential Office emphasized that President Lai would attend the National Assembly address if it were legal, criticizing politicians for deliberately confusing the issue with interrogation and spreading rumors.
