During the Legislative Yuan committee meeting on June 19, 2024, the Executive Yuan invited Premier Su Tseng-chang to report and be questioned on the parliamentary powers reform review. DPP lawmaker Chiu Chih-wei mentioned the defense, interior, economic, finance, and agricultural ministers regarding grassroots reactions to the proposed amendments. Minister of the Interior Liu Shih-fang acknowledged concerns raised by many religious groups and Minister of Agriculture Chen Chun-chi stated that agricultural associations have expressed worries about the investigations. Chiu emphasized the importance of laws benefiting the nation and people, not causing harm or threats. Premier Su expressed full support for the legislators' points, stressing the responsibility of proposing reviews. This session also involved discussions on potentially expanding the scope of inquiries to military and religious organizations, with concerns voiced by Ministers and lawmakers regarding potential impact on various sectors and groups.
