The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) caucus responded to the People's Party's press conference calling for the Legislative Yuan to once again extend the session on July 12th to complete the review of unrevised reform bills, NCC personnel authority, and examination commissioners after the initial negotiation, suggesting to convene an emergency session to proceed. The DPP pointed out that the NCC personnel nominations have already been submitted to the Legislative Yuan and are currently being blocked by the procedure committee, urging the People's Party to persuade the Kuomintang opposition party to stop obstructing the process.
