The Paris Paralympics are set to take place with 4,400 athletes participating in 22 sports, including events like wheelchair basketball, Para-powerlifting, Para-canoe, and wheelchair marathons. The games will kick off with the opening ceremony on August 28, featuring a unique route through Paris' iconic landmarks. Various venues, such as Roland Garros for wheelchair tennis and the Stade de France for Para-athletics, will host the events. ParalympicsGB is expected to have around 220 athletes, with Channel 4 broadcasting the games in the UK while the event promises a total of 549 gold medals up for grabs.
