Director Wei Te-Sheng filed fraud charges against Guo Taiqiang, Lin Kun-Huang, and Bai Hui-Yao from China Motion Picture Corporation (CMPC) due to investment disputes related to the film Seediq Bale. However, after investigation, Taipei Prosecutor's Office found insufficient evidence and decided not to prosecute them. The investment dispute originated from a contract signed in 2011 for the production of Seediq Bale, with Wei Te-Sheng claiming CMPC failed to provide the agreed payment. In response, Guo Taiqiang accused Wei Te-Sheng of not repaying a promissory note and seized assets. Wei Te-Sheng countered with criminal accusations. Both sides presented their perspectives, leading to ongoing legal proceedings.
