Recent power outages in multiple areas in Taiwan have sparked discussions on 'power shortage' once again. Minister of Economic Affairs Guo Zhihui reiterated today in the Legislative Yuan that there is 'no power shortage.' Guo Zhihui stated that starting in July, the amount of power used each month in the second half of the year will be publicly disclosed, allowing the public to understand and feel assured. Economic Ministry officials later mentioned that Taiwan Power Company will disclose monthly power supply and demand conditions until December, including how to achieve a surplus of 2.8 million kilowatts during night peak hours. Guo Zhihui highlighted the assurance of adequate power supply and transparency towards the public during his interview at the Legislative Yuan.
