Recently, there have been frequent power outages and blackouts all over Taiwan, raising concerns about the stability of the power supply. Minister of Economic Affairs Guo Zhihui reiterated that there is no power shortage and starting in July, the government will publicly disclose the available electricity and projected electricity usage every month for the second half of the year, in order to reassure the public. Guo also mentioned that issues such as the extension of the Fourth LNG Receiving Terminal and nuclear power plants can be discussed in a committee established by the Presidential Office, to gather more opinions from society before making decisions.
