On July 7, 2024, with the scorching summer heat and the countdown to the French Olympics, the indoor fitness trend surges, leading to the accelerated expansion of the gym giants - World Gym under World Fitness-KY (2762) and Fitness Factory under Bovan (8462) in the second half of the year to capitalize on business opportunities. World Gym plans to open 10 new locations in the second half of the year, while Fitness Factory recently opened in Shalu, Taichung, and plans for two new locations in Taichung and one in Tainan in the fourth quarter. With over 125 branches nationwide, the increase in locations boosts the willingness of new members to join. Both giants are strategically expanding their market reach, with World Gym aiming for 12 new locations this year and Fitness Factory planning to expand with at least 8 new locations next year, targeting a total of over 80 facilities, driving revenue growth and profit outlook positively.
