Habeck: EU Must Be More Fully Prepared to Compete with China

During his visit to Hangzhou, China, he stressed the importance of addressing the intense competition and preparing adequately for it, while also warning against extremism and highlighting the necessity for cooperation. Habeck also noted the crucial role of cooperation with China in achieving global climate goals and the importance of finding alternative energy sources to replace coal in China to reduce emissions. His visit mainly focused on economic, energy, and climate policy issues, including discussions on the EU's plan to impose tariffs on Chinese electric cars in July.
