During a recent heavy rainstorm in the Ren'ai mountain area of Nantou, Taiwan, hail poured down for nearly half an hour, damaging around a hundred hectares of vegetables including cabbage, garlic sprouts, and spinach. The estimated agricultural damage is expected to exceed one billion Taiwanese dollars, with farmers facing significant losses. Local authorities are set to assess the situation and provide assistance in accordance with disaster relief measures, while also seeking support from the central government.
