On June 27, 2024, Gao Hongan, the Mayor of Hsinchu City, visited the Legislative Yuan to meet with the People's Party caucus and the Kuomintang caucus. During the visit, Kuomintang Legislator Han Kuo-yu and Vice Speaker Jiang Qi-chen arrived at the scene and jokingly surrounded Gao Hongan with 7 people in a group photo, leading Han Kuo-yu to humorously comment that she looked like Snow White, causing laughter. Gao Hongan expressed concerns over the unequal ratio of national tax paid by Hsinchu City residents to the amount redistributed back to the city, urging for fairer distribution.
