On June 18, 2024, a Korean man surnamed Kim is charged by prosecutors in Taiwan for allegedly causing the death of his Korean girlfriend, surnamed Lee, by hitting her head with a hard object while on a trip in Taiwan in April last year. Kim denied the accusation of murder, but after investigation, the authorities concluded that he is suspected of causing Lee's death and was arrested. Evidence of head injuries and bruises all over Lee's body contradicted Kim's claims, leading to the charges. The case will be heard in front of a jury.
