A sudden incident occurred at the Legislative Yuan building in the afternoon of June 25, 2024, at 1:28 pm, where a 58-year-old director of the Fisheries Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture collapsed in the lobby while attending a meeting. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the man without breathing and heartbeat but managed to revive him using an AED on-site and quickly transported him to Taipei Veterans General Hospital for treatment. The collapse was suspected to be due to overheating as he walked from Taipei Main Station to the Legislative Yuan, and he is currently under observation in the emergency room.
