Health Bureau Inspects Popular Braised Pork Rice Restaurant and Finds Cockroach Crawling on the Floor

On July 17, 2024, the Health Bureau conducted an inspection at a well-known braised pork rice restaurant in Songshan District, Taipei City, and found a cockroach on the floor. Following complaints from customers who discovered a cockroach in the side dish of their takeout meal, the Health Bureau discovered 5 violations during the inspection, including unclean floors in the washing and dry goods areas and the presence of pests. The restaurant has been given a deadline to improve these conditions, with potential fines ranging from 30,000 to 300,000 NT dollars for violations. Further improvements are required before August 17 in some areas and by July 20 for the rest.
