Another food safety issue arises as the New MALA hotpot chain's Yulon City branch unexpectedly shuts down due to two customers experiencing vomiting and diarrhea after dining there. This is not the first incident, as two other customers fell ill in early April after eating at the same location. Health authorities noted that these two suspected cases of food poisoning within a year meet the criteria for temporary closure, and if improvements are not made upon re-inspection, the restaurant could face fines ranging from 60,000 to 200 million NTD.
