Dr. Zhu Sheng-en, a chief resident physician in the emergency department at the Far Eastern Memorial Hospital in Banqiao, New Taipei City, revealed the harsh reality of working on the frontline in the emergency room. Dr. Zhu expressed the intense pressure and challenges they faced on a daily basis, including dealing with critical patients and a shortage of nursing staff. Despite the tremendous efforts of the medical team, the system's shortcomings and the increasing demands have left healthcare workers feeling overwhelmed and underappreciated.
