In Taichung's Nantun District on June 29, a thrilling rescue took place when 41-year-old engineer Chen collapsed during a TGB basketball league game at Nantun Sports Center, suspected to have suffered a heart attack and losing his pulse. Luckily, one of his teammates was off-duty firefighter Lin Zhenhong from the Lifen Division Fire Brigade, who performed CPR and utilized an AED on Chen, successfully reviving him. Chen, who had a heart stent, was later sent to the hospital for further treatment and expressed gratitude to Lin for saving his life. Lin's heroic actions were widely praised, and a video of the rescue process was shared by the fire department. Lin will host a summer firefighting camp at Ruijing Elementary School on July 6, welcoming the public to meet the hero.
