A 25-year-old man named Zhou in Taipei City was caught by police on July 21st around 5 a.m. riding a motorcycle under the influence of alcohol while trying to evade a checkpoint along a riverside park. Police officers noticed Zhou speeding past them, stopped him, and found his blood alcohol level to be 0.73 milligrams. Zhou admitted to drowning his sorrows due to a recent heartbreak and intentionally driving along the riverside park path to avoid detection. He was subsequently charged with endangering public safety by the police.
