The Central Weather Bureau issued continuous high-temperature alerts due to the hot weather influenced by the descending southwest winds. Taitung County experienced scorching temperatures with a high probability of extreme highs, while eleven other areas, including Taipei City and New Taipei City, were on high-temperature alert. Residents were advised to take precautions against the heat, stay hydrated, and limit outdoor activities.
