According to Taiwan Television News Network on June 25, 2024, at 7:16 pm, the Central Weather Bureau indicated that the Pacific high-pressure system strengthened today, leading to mostly cloudy to clear skies in most areas. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach around 36 degrees in the western region, potentially hitting around 37 degrees in some areas near mountains, river valleys, and the Greater Taipei Basin. The Bureau issued high-temperature warnings for 12 counties and cities, with Pingtung County under a red alert for a probability of consecutive extreme temperatures of 38 degrees. Other areas on orange and yellow alert include Kaohsiung City, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Hsinchu County, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, and Tainan City.
