Meteorologist Wu Derong warns that temperatures soared to 36-39 degrees yesterday, with highs of 38.5°C in the north (Taipei), 38.0°C in the central region (Yunlin), 38.2°C in the south (Pingtung), and 36.3°C in the east (Hualien). Today, Taiwan is under clear skies, but sporadic rain showers are expected, with temperatures ranging from 25-38 degrees across different regions. A lingering front in South China to the Yangtze River Basin may cause thunderstorms, advising precautions against lightning and strong winds. Temperature ranges: North 26-38°C, Central 25-38°C, South 26-38°C, East 25-36°C.
