Heat Wave in Taiwan Leads to Cases of Heat Exhaustion

As temperatures in Taiwan continue to soar, two cases of heat exhaustion were reported in Changhua County on June 22. A 43-year-old Thai woman collapsed while hiking and was rushed to the hospital with a body temperature of 40.9 degrees Celsius. Additionally, a 73-year-old man collapsed while cycling in the sun, with a body temperature of 39 degrees Celsius. With temperatures reaching 45 degrees Celsius in Changhua County, there is a growing concern for heat-related illnesses, urging people to take precautions against the scorching heat.
