The Central Weather Bureau announced special heatwave alerts for 11 cities and counties in Taiwan, with the weather expected to remain hot for the next week. Residents are advised to be cautious of temperatures exceeding 36°C in certain inland areas, valleys, and the Hualien-Taitung regions, and to take precautions against heat injuries by applying sunscreen, staying hydrated, and being wary of sudden downpours. Thunderstorms are forecasted in various regions with a shift to southwest winds starting Friday bringing in more moisture, potentially leading to scattered rainstorms.
